Jalfa Mata Mandir is an acient/Historical Mandir and situated in Shivalik Hills in Nangal Dam District Ropar, near by Village Hambewal and Nikku Nangal.

There are many stories attached with this Mandir. One of them is when Prajapati Daksha insulted Lord Shiva, so, mata Parvati killed herself and Lord Shiva was anger at extreme stage [called as Shiv Di Teesri akhkh da khull jana].He began stalking the three worlds while holding Sati’s body. All Gods were approached to Vishnu ji then  Lord Vishnu fired arrows which served Sati’s body into fifty one pieces. Where ever the pieces fell, the fifty one sacred Shaktipeeths came into existence. It is believed that at Julfa Mata temple, Sati’s hair fell. The word 'julfa' means hair.

As time passed away the word 'julfa' is converted with word 'jalfa' and now the temple is famously known as 'Jalfa Mata Da Mandir'.

Temple is around 5-kilometer away from main Town Nangal and there are two ways to reach there one is from Village Hambewal and another is from Village Nikku Nangal. In earlier days there is no concrete road and people go with their feets. Now-a-days there is asphalt road and people can visit through vehicles.

Near the entrance of the temple, on the right hand side, there is a Shiva temple. People tied a moli on Peepal tree and wish from Jalfa Mata. There is a priest who takes care of temple. The people offering / prasad which is mostly Suji Da Halwa, Laddoo etc.
