WHY YOU SHOULD JOIN? The main aim of the course is to develop the pool of technically trained manpower readily available for recruitment to the Indian Power Sector. The course enhances the knowledge and skill of the fresh Graduate Engineers who join this course as their own as well as the engineers sponsored by Power utilities.

 

ABOUT  THE COURSE The course is of 39 weeks duration & covers all aspects of Hydro Power Plant Engineering including O&M, erection, commissioning, Management , Distribution of Electricity & Tariff. The course profile covers the mandatory requirements under Indian Electricity Amendment Rules. 1981. The course authorizes the Engineer to operate & maintain Hydro Power Plants.

 

ELIGIBILITY: Degree in Mech. /Elect. Or equivalent from a recognized Engineering College/University with minimum of 60% marks. Those who have appeared for final year examination can also apply with confide certificate from College/University however admission will be confirmed only if marks obtained are minimum of 60%.

 

SELECTION PROCEDURE: Merit basis (% of marks of qualifying engineering degree).

 

AGE LIMIT: Maximum 27 years as on 07.07.2010. No age limit for sponsored candidates.

 

TOTAL SEATS: 35 (Thirty five). Reservation for SC/ST/PH is applicable as per Govt. norms.

 

PLACEMENT: NPTI maintains close linkages with Power utilities. In first of such course conducted at NPTI, HPTC NANGAL. Most of the first batch students have already been got selected in reputed companies.

HOW TO APPLY :Prescribed application format can be  downloaded from website: www.npti.in or application on plain paper  along with the Demand Draft of Rs. 800/- in favor of NPTI, HPTC payable at Naya Nangal (Branch Code: 0689) should reach to the Director, National Power Training Institute HPTC, Nangal ,Distt. Ropar-140124 (Punjab) with

two passport size photographs in the following format 1. Name 2. Father’s Name 3. Date of birth & age as on 07.07.2010 4. Sex 5. Marital status 6. Nationality 7. Whether SC/ST/PH 8.  Postal Address with contact No.  9. Educational Qualifications starting from 10th standard stating subjects. College /Institution, % of marks, year of passing 10. Experience if any 11. Sponsored/Non-sponsored (if sponsored attach certificate from employer) 12. Signature. Attach attested copies of proof of item 3, 7, 9 & 10.)

FEE: For non-sponsored candidates: Rs. 1, 10,000/- (in two equal installments). For candidates sponsored from SEBs/PSUs/Private utilities Rs. 1, 35,000/- lump sum at the time of admission. There is no fee concession for any category of candidates.

LODGING / BOARDING Hostel facilities is provided on first come first serve basis, subject to availability on nominal charges.
