A great news for all Nangali'ans - BBMB will continue free services

Bhakra Beas Management Board is the single board who is running free public services viz. Free Hospitalization, Free Train Service [Nangal to Bhakra Dam] and Asia's biggest workshop.

A couple of days ago BBMB submitted report to his board that due to certain ongoing project, the cost cutting and funding is the biggest challenge for him. Also, in this report the Financial Advisor of the board proposed to shut-down all those ongoing projects which need more input and give less output ‘Free Train service from Nangal to Bhakra Dam’ is one of the project in the list of these projects.

The followings are more from this list

• Schools of Nangal, Kotla and Ganguwal
• BBMB Hospital
• BBMB guest house

As per proposal by putting and end of the above services will save funds for BBMB Board and the fund can be used for other services / projects.

The person on the chair Mr. M. K. Gupta of BBMB (I) who has headed this meeting and denied all the proposal which said to an end of these services. Mr. Gupta said that none of the services extended to public would be withdrawn.

These are the life lines of the city and if this would be stopped then there would be very bad impact on the local area.

The decision comes with great relief to local public and BBMB employees.
